Geomembrane supply · Australia-wide

HDPE and LLDPE geomembranes, selected for your application.

Kontain supplies geomembranes — engineered polymer sheets used as containment liners — for water, waste, mining and civil projects across Australia. Start with GM13 HDPE or GM17 LLDPE, then develop the grade, surface and roll format around the site. We combine responsive sourcing with practical liner selection, design inputs and installation quotations.

Choose the polymer and the specification together

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) offer different mechanical responses. Selection considers the contained liquid, temperature, exposure, deformation, protection and installation conditions. GM13 and GM17 establish manufacturing quality-control requirements; project suitability is assessed alongside them.

Blown film, flat die and custom roll dimensions

We can source blown-film and flat-die geomembranes, with custom widths and lengths to suit the panel layout, handling equipment and delivery plan. Spec Liner HDPE Smooth currently uses blown film as its standard route, with flat die available by request.

Usable width, roll length, mass, minimum quantities and production programme are confirmed for the selected grade and manufacturing line. The finished sheet and its supporting test data determine acceptance.

Smooth, textured and coloured liner options

Source the surface around its function. Options include smooth sheet; single-sided or double-sided texture; embossed or structured textures; and other techniques such as co-extruded or spray-on texturing. Each offered construction requires its own product data.

  • Interface stability: assess the actual soil, geotextile and liner combination. Texture height alone does not establish design friction.
  • White and coloured surfaces: consider solar heating, wrinkle management, inspection, appearance and the proposed exposure. Confirm pigmentation and layer-specific durability data.
  • Specialist constructions: conductive layers and other options can be investigated where the leak-location method or project specification calls for them.

A clear route to higher specification containment

For demanding applications, Kontain helps define and source enhanced stress-crack resistance, antioxidant performance and exposure-specific testing. Requirements can include an agreed SP-NCTL stress-crack value, initial and retained OIT or HP-OIT, and evidence for the exact formulation.

We assess the offered grade against the complete project specification. Enhanced index properties alone do not establish service life, chemical compatibility or compliance with another specification such as GM42.

Liner supply with design inputs and installation quotes

Bring the liner, protection and drainage layers into one coordinated material package. Kontain can provide liner selection services, anchor-trench and ballasting drawings, panel and interface inputs, drainage assessment and installation quotation coordination.

We review long-term allowable geocomposite drainage capacity against predicted inflow or leakage, using the project loads, gradients, boundary materials and reduction factors. The lining assessment also addresses the project’s allowable leakage criteria. Final scope and responsibilities are agreed with the project team.

Responsive sourcing and application-specific warranty options

Send the specification, quantity and required delivery date for a prompt sourcing review. We coordinate material options, production, freight and documentation, with availability and programme confirmed in the quotation.

Available product warranties are reviewed for the intended application and stated in the agreed supply terms. Where installation is quoted, its workmanship warranty and responsibilities are identified separately. The quotation makes the covered material, conditions and exclusions clear.

Practical questions

Can you quote material supply and installation?

Yes. Kontain supplies the selected liner and associated materials and can organise installation quotations. Send the site plan, area, location, programme and available specification, and identify whether you need supply only, design inputs or an installation quote.

Can you source a grade beyond the standard GM13 or GM17 requirements?

Yes. We can develop a sourcing brief for more demanding requirements and review available product and formulation evidence. The exact grade, testing, acceptance criteria and warranty terms are agreed before procurement.

Are custom widths, textures and colours covered by the standard Spec Liner TDS?

The current Spec Liner TDS covers smooth black HDPE in its stated formats. Textured products need a separate specification; coloured, conductive and other custom constructions need confirmed variant data and manufacturing details.
