Commercial landscaping · public spaces · Australia-wide supply

Geosynthetics for landscaping contractors.

Bring the landscape drawings, specification or bill of quantities. Kontain helps select the geotextiles, reinforcement, drainage and lining materials, then coordinates manufacture and project supply across Australia.

One material package for the landscape works

Commercial landscaping often combines soft ground, aggregate paths, retaining structures, drainage and water features. Start with each material’s job and build a coordinated schedule around the drawings.

  • Nonwoven filter fabric around specified drainage interfaces and for separation beneath aggregate.
  • Geogrids for compatible path, service-access and car-park base designs.
  • Retaining-wall filters, drainage composites and soil reinforcement.
  • Pond liners, protection layers and underground stormwater storage.

Paths, car parks and recreation precincts

A geotextile can separate aggregate from the subgrade; a suitable geogrid can stabilise the aggregate layer. These are different functions. Product selection and any change to pavement thickness need the subgrade, aggregate, loading and construction method to be reviewed together.

  • Allow for construction and maintenance vehicles as well as everyday use.
  • Coordinate falls, edge drainage, services and finished levels.
  • Use the pavement tool for preliminary comparisons, with the project designer confirming the adopted section.

Bulk geotextile supply with practical design inputs

Kontain’s project-direct model connects manufacturing with the contractor’s material schedule. Roll formats, mixed grades, minimum quantities, freight and delivery timing are confirmed for the order. Send the tender date early so the programme can be checked before selection.

  • Specification review and a clearly qualified product submission.
  • Material-location input and typical details within the agreed scope.
  • Technical documents, quantity schedules and direct-to-site delivery planning.

Practical questions

Can you review a specified geotextile or geogrid?

Yes. Send the specification and nominated grade. Kontain can compare the relevant properties and identify departures for the designer’s review. Similar mass or tensile strength alone does not demonstrate equivalence.

Do you supply small retail rolls?

The focus is commercial project supply. Minimum quantities and lead times vary by product and production arrangement; confirm these before relying on a delivery date.

What technical support is available?

Ben Lewis brings geotechnical engineering and geosynthetics experience to material selection, drawings and technical submissions. The design responsibilities and scope are agreed for each project.
