Assessing the Influence Zone and Drainage Efficiency of Geotextiles with Enhanced Lateral Drainage Abilities in Unsaturated Soil Systems
Original research · free full-paper access · authors credited
Research overview
Soil-column tests compared an enhanced-lateral-drainage woven geotextile with a nonwoven geotextile and a control under capillary-rise and infiltration conditions. The tested fabric influenced moisture up to about 50 mm below the interface and reduced local accumulation during infiltration; results are limited to the tested soil, fabric and boundary conditions. Solmax provided financial and material support but has no author in the paper.
