Study on the permeability characteristics of different geotextiles under weft and warp stretching
Original research · free full-paper access · authors credited
Research overview
Variable-head tests measured permeability of 120 and 200 g/m² woven geotextiles at 0%, 3%, 6% and 9% strain in warp and weft directions. Permeability changed non-monotonically with direction, strain and fabric mass, showing that filtration properties measured unstressed may not represent service conditions; results cover two fabrics and uniaxial laboratory stretching only.
