Kontain GCL Laminated
An integral polymer barrier to reduce direct exposure from the covered face and help manage moisture loss and wetting–drying effects. Retain confinement and the specified GCL sealing detail.
Specify 0.2 or 0.5 mm PE, or a custom 1.0 or 1.5 mm smooth LLDPE laminate with GRI-GM17 membrane targets and qualification before supply. Standard and heavy bases are selected separately.

The 1.0 / 1.5 mm figures are smooth black LLDPE membrane specification targets. They are not test results for a finished laminated GCL. Confirm trial manufacture, winding, the processed formulation, bond and joint performance before supply. Full membrane requirements are in the TDS.

Selection and installation.
Field welding is limited to qualified LLDPE laminate ≥1.0 mm with suitable free flaps, verified GM17 formulation/OIT/ageing evidence and qualified weld trials and seam testing. HDPE is excluded from this welded option. Thin PE laps remain loose under accepted confinement and do not form a continuous welded membrane barrier. Lamination does not remove the need to assess contact chemistry, edges, penetrations or the underside.
Common rolls are 5 m × 30 m (150 m² gross). Custom dimensions, bentonite masses and plastic or steel cores are available by order. Confirm gross roll mass and clear core bore before lifting.
Provide the liner section, contact-soil grading and chemistry, liquid analysis, slope, loading, installation method and delivery requirements.
