GCL TECHNICAL DATATECHNICAL DATA SHEET · AUSTRALIAN FORMAT
Kontain value-engineered reinforced GCL
An uncoated reinforced GCL with the nonwoven geotextile on the upper face, high-swelling sodium bentonite through the core and the woven carrier on the underside.
A cost-led option for conventional, non-aggressive containment where the client accepts an explicit evidence plan. It is not positioned as a CETCO product or as automatically equivalent to BENTOMAT ST.
PUBLISHED PERFORMANCE
Values below reproduce the supplied factory sheet in Australian engineering units. KGCL-ST is ordered against the minimum GRI-GCL3 reinforced GT-related MQC frequencies shown; the current factory MQC plan and order reports must evidence that programme.

KGCL-ST is the uncoated configuration. The separate 0.20 mm PE-geofilm-laminated configuration is offered as KGCL-C. GRI-GCL3 frequencies are manufacturing quality-control minimums; current lot certificates, traceability, agreed project conformance testing and the project specification still govern acceptance.
DESIGN TRANSPARENCY
A compliant index value does not remove project-specific hydraulic, stability or installation risk.
GRI-GCL3 is a manufacturing quality-control baseline, not automatic project acceptance. Require current order test evidence, certificate of analysis, roll and lot traceability and an agreed conformance-testing plan.
KGCL-ST is uncoated: nonwoven upper face, sodium-bentonite core and woven underside. Where a PE geofilm is required, specify the separate KGCL-C product.
The supplied sheet does not establish site-liquid compatibility, internal shear or interface behaviour. Project chemistry, confinement, slope and adjacent materials still govern the verification programme.
SUPPLY + CUSTOMISATION
The reference roll is 30 m long and 175.5 m² gross. Roll length is customer-selectable, subject to factory roll mass, handling and transport confirmation.
Kontain can nominate the roll length to suit panel geometry, lifting method and freight. Effective coverage is calculated from the approved overlap and detailing schedule.
Current certificate of analysis, roll and lot traceability, configuration confirmation and an agreed independent conformance plan are required before release.
SOURCE + CONTROL
This webpage combines the manufacturer-supplied core data with Kontain's KGCL-ST uncoated construction and MQC requirements. The manufacturing source and current factory evidence will be disclosed during technical approval and before order release. It is not a manufacturer reissue, a CETCO document or proof of order-specific conformance.
