BENTOMAT® ST

Reinforced sodium-bentonite GCL

A layer of natural sodium bentonite encapsulated between woven and nonwoven polypropylene geotextiles and reinforced by needlepunching.

Kontain position

A baseline option for composite liners and relatively non-aggressive contact liquids, subject to hydration, chemistry and stability verification.

PUBLISHED PERFORMANCE

Metric values, with the test conditions visible.

Values below are presented in Australian engineering units. CETCO’s published ASTM methods are retained; the units have changed, not the underlying test method or acceptance basis.

DESIGN TRANSPARENCY

What still needs to be verified.

A compliant index value does not remove project-specific hydraulic, stability or installation risk.

01

Chemistry gate

The published hydraulic value is an index result. Verify the actual contact liquid, hydration source, salinity, divalent ions and pH before final selection.

02

Stability gate

The published internal shear value is not a design envelope. Test the GCL and adjacent interfaces at project normal stresses, hydration and displacement conditions.

03

Installation gate

Subgrade preparation, overlaps, penetrations, weather exposure, cover placement and confinement remain part of the barrier performance.

SUPPLY + CUSTOMISATION

Quote the configuration the project actually needs.

PLANNING ROLL≈ 4.57 m × 45.7 m

Approximately 209 m² gross and 200 m² effective after standard overlaps. Confirm current factory dimensions, mass and origin for every order.

CONTAINER BASIS≈ 18 rolls / 3,600 m² effective

A budgeting assumption only. Final payload and pack plan require CETCO confirmation. Full production and freight lots generally support the strongest landed rate.

CUSTOM AVAILABLEGeotextile package + chemistry

Alternative reinforcement and RESISTEX formulations can be evaluated where slope demand, adjoining interfaces or site liquid require a different configuration.
